In recent decades Israeli society has undergone an alarming process that has eroded its faith in the righteousness of the Zionist cause and blurred the values and ideology of Zionism. The enormous energy that led the Zionist revolution and established the Israeli state has dissipated and the impressive achievements of Zionism and of the State of Israel have by and large been taken for granted. This has happened while the challenges that continue to face the Jewish people, Zionism and the State of Israel have only grown stronger and more menacing.

Concurrently, the State of Israel and Zionism have in recent years been facing a systematic worldwide campaign to negate Israel's right to defend itself and to continue to exist as a Jewish State. Regrettably, it is elements within Israeli society that stand at the head of the anti-Israel campaign of incitement and propaganda.

For the past three years, Im Tirtzu is the main body in Israel that has been working to revive a public discourse that expresses an ideological commitment to Zionist values and to provide the necessary impetus for the continued thriving of the enterprise of the return to Zion. At the same time, Im Tirtzu is currently the main body in Israel that is providing a response to the anti-Israel incitement and propaganda within Israel itself.

During the past three years, Im Tirtzu has engaged in dozens of public campaigns that prove and demonstrate the moral nature and just cause of Zionism and provide a response to the false and misleading propaganda campaign that has been waged against Israel. We have distributed thousands of copies of Zionist magazines and hundreds of thousands of fliers that present specific aspects of the Zionist rationale and demonstrate its righteousness and morality, thus equipping the public with the means of resisting and deflecting anti-Israel propaganda and incitement. We have published hundreds of articles in newspapers and the major Israeli internet sites and portals, in which we have presented a well-founded and comprehensive exposition of the Zionist rationale and provided arguments refuting anti-Israel propaganda and incitement.

We have held dozens of demonstrations and protests against anti-Israel movements and events that have been held in the very heart of Israel. We have been invited on many occasions to appear on the major Israeli media channels on television, radio and in the press, where we have presented the righteousness of the Zionist cause and the justness of Israel's actions.

We have distributed thousands of gift packages to soldiers serving in Judea and Samaria and in points of friction with Palestinian demonstrators. We held dozens of events in support of the IDF and the State of Israel. We volunteered in communities on the Gaza periphery and in Sderot and helped farmers in the Negev and the Galilee who are facing a rash of thefts and acts of sabotage that have been perpetrated against them on the background of anti-Zionist motives. We conducted dozens of tours throughout the country to strengthen the connection between the Israeli people and their homeland and we organized numerous Zionist theme parties, sing-along gatherings and social events on appropriate occasions.

In addition, we organized hundreds of lectures, panel discussions, seminars and cultural events geared to strengthen Jewish-Zionist identity among young people, in community centers, schools, pre-military preparatory courses and other venues.

A central arena in which the Im Tirtzu movement is active is in conducting a systematic and consistent campaign to expose the lies, false allegations and interests that are behind the anti-Israel propaganda that is disseminated in Israel itself. Im Tirtzu members publish articles that expose the lies and misleading allegations that are at the root of anti-Israel propaganda and hold demonstrations and protests against organizations that incite against Israel, and we work together with established institutions in order to ensure that agencies of the State, government ministries and local authorities are not misled into collaborating with organizations that lead anti-Israel propaganda.
